Inspiration

I don't often write about my job at the publishing company, but today was special. The head of our HUGE 164 year-old company is an amazing woman named Marjorie. I've heard Marjorie speak several times over the years and each and every time I am always inspired. Not just inspired by whatever her topic is that day, but inspired to take on the world. She has a talent for making you feel like you did when you walked out of college and were ready to make everything right and better.

One of the things she talked about today was the difference that we can have on each other. It really made me excited to be moving into my new roles and to see what affect I can have on the editors I'll be supporting and the students that I'll be teaching. I'm so excited to see what the tomorrow will bring.

If you ever need a role model for a girl/woman in your life, have her check out Marjorie's story. She has "it!" So inspiring to see a woman who can be such a great leader. (Email me if you would like to get a link to her bio.)
